Any thoughts on this piece?

I bought this piece during a trip from Wisconsin to Georgia at an antique store in Kentucky. I only paid $15 for it. A guy told me he felt it was a lodge. After looking it up I kind of feel like it might be a blacklock pan. Simply because there's no notch and the pour spouts are a lot smaller than any of The Lodges I saw. What's your thoughts on it?

I vouldnt get the links or pictures to download. It said they were too large. You may have to copy and paste the link. Thanks y'all

These are the ones that have been dubbed "Southern mystery skillets". The feeling on what might be Blacklock are those which have more period-appropriate, larger pour spouts, a handle reinforcement rib that looks "smashed" or like a funnel, and an outside heat ring.

I have one like that. I've seen a couple of variances to the handle. My grandmother's SMS has a reinforced rid on the underside of the handle. It runs down most of the length of the handle. I have a #8 like yours and it has a buttered area covering most of the rib. It's a mystery.

Would like to see a pic of it, Spurgeon....

Still working on seasoning it up better. Minor pitting on it around the edge. I was gonna pass it up but really like the raised 8 and handle design.

No idea what it is , but it sure has many visually interesting characteristics about it .
It will make both good food and good conversation in your home when people drop in lol .
