Martin deep #9 skillet with matching lid

Went out thrift storing yesterday in 12 inches of snow and was rewarded with a real gem for $12.99! A martin number 9 chicken frying skillet with its lid. From what I could find this is a fairly rare piece. After shipping one sold for $170 on eBay. And right now there are no others on there. I love the shape of the handle on the lid.

That was some nice find at a super price.That makes the hunt worthwhile.Makes you think ,did I really find this? Hope it cleans up well for you.

Yeah I was very happy with it. There was a unmarked skillet also but my wife has been making some heavy accusations about getting "help" with my cast iron addiction. I bring home at least 1 and sometimes 2 or 3 a week. But as far as I'm concerned they don't loose any value by getting
Older like most new pans do.
