Griswold no2

Hello from Kc area. Picked up 4 skillets today on trade. Wagner Sydney o no6 a griswold no6 a unmarked no 5 and a griswold no 2. Just wander what the no 2 might be worth. Is it as rare as I've seen online. It has double ring ,slant letters, heat ring, and Erie pa usa. Any idea ,thanks guys.

That particular one has been selling online recently for below the BB value of $500-600. In some ways odd, since other more common pieces seem to be selling (or are at least being listed) for more than book values lately.

Supply vs. demand basically. #3 and #8 are probably the most commonly seen skillet sizes. People who didn't buy full sets were more common than those who did, making sales for the sizes people cherry-picked higher, thus more of those pieces were produced and still survive today. Why buy a #2 when a #3 doesn't cost much more or take up much more space? Same with #10s vs. #9s, #12s vs. #11s, etc.

Oddly I find many more #9's than #10's. Yesterday I did come across a Wagner #10, heat ring, for $37.50. I could've gotten 10% off, I was tempted but maybe next time.
