Waving from our small acreage in the middle of the country. I have happily used cast iron for ages and love it. The military didn't enjoy moving it, but we're retired now, so it's all out on display and within arms reach for use.

Skillets, dutch ovens, gems.. all here lovingly cleaned, seasoned, and used. Most of my pieces are found for a song at thrift shops, goodwill stores, or yard sales. Maker doesn't matter, condition and use does.

Antique stores here think they need to overcharge just because it's cast iron. Many mislabel makers or age. So you have to watch.

The area is mostly populated by Wagner, BSR, and the ocassional Vollrath, all of which made it out here through settlers and train, catalogue mail order back in the day.

I did manage a small John Wright the other day.

Anyway, howdy!
