Smooth Bottom Vollrath?

If you need help post pictures showing the entire top and entire bottom. Zooming in is helpful only in a few cases. You cannot identify a person by looking at a close up of their big toe.

Help us help you.

Assuming that the 5 is at the 3 o'clock position, it is a Vollrath. The 5 is underlined and the handle resembles that of a Vollrath.

Please take pictures of the entire skillets, handle and all. Closeups do help, but aren't usually necessary unless that detail is needed.

Okay, I just read the sticky on posting pictures. I have it in my electrolysis tank over night. I'll try to season it in the morning and get full pictures uploaded. And thanks for the quick responses guys.

Here she is with fresh coat of seasoning. Came out kinda speckled which is a bit disappointing. Not used to the super smooth finish on these old skillets so I accidentally left a bit too much oil on it. Also, very impressed with electrolysis. First time I've tried it and... Wow.

I just found a beauty the other day, and this thread was very helpful in confirming that I really had found a Vollrath. When we found the skillet, the smooth bottom threw me off, but everything else about the skillet said "Vollrath." I am assuming that these were manufactured later--maybe in the 50's and 60's? Am I correct? Does anyone know the approximate date of manufacture for these?

On Vacation I picked up the same pan but could not figure out anything about it until reading this post today.
After a day in the Lye tank I could see the 5 with the line under it.
It is in the Electrolysis tank right now.

Pan is in very nice shape

Wiping off after 15 minutes is very important. been there done that (unfortunately). 2 choices from what I recall. strip and start over, or let it fill in over time. I stripped and started over again.

If I'm wrong, those with more experience will hopefully correct me.
