Real Corn Bread

Going back to post #1 I realized a benefit to using lard, especially with a BSR or Lodge wedge corn bread pan or any dedicated corn bread skillet. These pans do not get the benefit of cooking other foods to build seasoning and corn bread can be rough on seasoning. However, if you use lard to grease the pan and use lard in the batter you may have a good chance of building seasoning with one of the best seasoning builders out there; instead of having to reseason down the road. My BSR is getting better every time I use it.
