I purchased a small lot of cast iron from a lady because I saw one skillet with those big ears and a raised #9 on the handle. Now I have two #9 Arc Logo Lodge skillets. The no notch is my daily user and has heavy sulfur pitting. This one notch belonged to her grandma and looks smooth as glass under all that seasoning.

Nice! I’ve purchased a few pans only offered as a group twice now in order to get a specific pan in the stack I wanted because the seller would only sell them as a lot. As you have stated I also restored and sold the remaining pans. It worked out great! Good luck!

Lloyd, I also picked up a #9 arc logo awhile back. I think the cooking surface will have very fine pitting once cleaned but for only $7.50 I had to buy it.
You mentioned "big ears" in your post. Check out the size of the ears on the gate marked pan on the left in this pic.

I love those old gate marked pieces with the large spouts. The single spouts are really large!

yeah, you can't just throw out a picture like that of stacks of fancy handle single spouts and not tell us more about them.

Here's another picture I took at the same time.

Only top one on left and top two on right are single spouts, the rest are typical gated skillets. Don't really know much about them in regards to maker or exact ages as usual with gated pieces. The top one on the left is marked 7 and has small nub feet instead of a heat ring and the one under it is a griddle. In the right stack I believe the one on top is about the size of a 6, the next two are 7's, then five #8's, a #9 and a #11with long handle. All have inset heat rings, smooth cooking surfaces except for maybe some casting flaws and no or very minimal sulphur pitting on bottoms.

Also have this #12 with dual gate marks and heat ring on outer edge.

Those are sweet pans by all. Hope I come across some like that. Those handles are amazingly ornate. I have notice that the old Lodge skillets have a super nice cook surface comparable to others. I still do not have a gate marked skillet yet. Keeping my eyes open though.
