My New Purchase

I recently bought this from my Grandma to insure that it stayed in our family. It was never our family stove, in fact, my Grandfather bought it about 10 years ago. He passed a couple weeks ago having never been able to sell it loke he wanted to. I know he treasured it very much and no one in my family wanted it. I gave my Grandmother 500 for it. I can find very very very little about stoves of this brand. I thought i would share it here for your viewing pleasure and maybe a little insight on it.

Moore's stoves founded 1857 by 2 brothers Alexander and William in Joilet Illinois. not sure how long they staid in business. nice heater, definitely something to hold on to. not sure how old but the catalog doesn't have year on it just catalog no. 40 I figure 1 a year so maybe 1907?

I think those with the plating on parts of them add a nice touch and definitely add to their value. I have a couple of stoves but no bling or family connection. You have a treasure, even if Grandpa never used it, it was his so that makes it special.
