I came across this one today. Columbus Hollow Ware "The Favorite". I'm told it wad manufactured in a penitentiary and they are not a common find and are quite collectible but I can't find much about the maker or a value that it may or may not have...Any help would be great! Thanks!

That's about the gist of it. Collectible but not really coveted by collectors. There are no published guides as to value. eBay sold listing are about all that can be relied upon.

Thanks! I'm not sure I'll keep it if there is not a way to put a value on it (I kept the reciept just in case!) ..ill keep searching to see what else I can find!

I only paid $10 at Goodwill...so it's a bargin! ...I've slept on it...and for me it's probably a once in a lifetime find...so I'm gonna hand onto it for now...at least till I get a feel for the value/worth of it!

Angie,

For $10 where will you find a nice cast iron pan to cook in? Look at the prices for a current Lodge. The Lodge isn't as nice a cooker as the the pan that you have. Your choice. Not all purchases need to be sold, they can be used. Just my opinion. :tasty:

$10 is a bargain if not warped, cracked, or pitted. Value hinges heavily on (the absence of) all three.
