Anyone Help Identify Skillet?

Can't upload photo of a skillet I found so I guess I'll describe it. Says 9 3/4 inch skillet on back. D stamped underneath, D stamped underneath
handle midway down. Thanks
 
It doesn't have a country of origin, read that could indicate pre 1960. Doesn't have a #7 on it. Baby smooth cooking surface and interior though. Outside needs attention. Paid $20. Good deal for personal usage. Any idea of value?

That would be a Wagner. Any future requests for ID help should follow the photo posting guidelines and show the entire bottom of the piece, including the handle, in a single shot.
 
Thank you and, I will. Just got a new phone. Have to get in and figure out whereto switch phone resolution since they're up to like 10,000mb per shot now now lol. When I get it stripped I'll try and get it adjusted. Would anyone happen to know the ballpark year and resale value after taken back down and properly re seasoned? Plan on passing this and a whole array down after reworking to my son who is a culinary natural.

Yes it does have a #7 at the top end near the font edge. I emerged it in a 50.. 50 solution of vinegar and water. Did great for all of the light stuff, but there's a huge mass build up around the entire outside. 80 grit would take days. Pulled it out, rinsed it out really well with cool water and it's in the oven now drying. Going to leave it in for a half hour then put a thin layer of canola over it to prevent rust. Going to set up a lye bath for it. Have the oven on 335, also have a lodge that I resurfaced and taking another skim coat of canola in the bottom. The rest has just a slight tack. Cast iron is becoming an odd, but very interesting Hobby LOL. Was a machinist for 25 years. Like working with my hands and Metal. Much better working for myself haha

This is what I notice so far. Looks like someone's been at it with a pretty harsh machine. The handle has been ground into on one side. And there are gouges on each side of the seven. Same thing on the pour spouts on both sides. Not sure what the surface that I show reflects from a professional standpoint.

This is what I'm looking at. Someone had some fun with a machine. What do you think of all this. Going to keep and use it and love that it's old and mine anyway. Cooking surface is awesome.

Something mechanical applied to it. The brushed marks across the top of the handle, however, are not unusual, and are sometimes seen as artifacts of less-experienced foundry finishing tasks.
 
Did you know the approx time frame these were produced? Just found a nice looking #8 absent "Made in the USA" as well that I purchased and will be arriving tomorrow.
