Default A Southern Dinner

Chicken fried steak fried in a BSR with lard, day old potato salad and hot cornbread. Gotta love it when the steak has great flavor and the cornbread falls out of the skillet.

Very pretty setup. Is that a modern lodge you are using for the cornbread?

Looks mighty good! Chicken fried steak is my favorite meal. Did you make the gravy in CI also?

Mike, that is a 1967 BSR Corn Bread Skillet, Pat. Pending. No made in the USA stamp.

Derek, I cheated with the gravy & used a package in a SS sauce pan. No good reason, just excuses. Got lucky as the pepper gravy was good.

All was good. For days Iíve been wanting a banana split but too full/satisfied again tonight.

Dinner tonight was created in 1904 in Latrobe. PA. This is the original, duplicated. Yum.
