I picked up this #8 gate marked skillet Sunday morning in Nevada Missouri. I know gate marked ci is hard to id but thought I would see what you guys think about.

I'd call that a casting flaw, not a gate mark. Otherwise, it has all the characteristics currently being conjectured as Blacklock.

I agree another Blacklock suspect. Could this be a ghost mark from a gate mark, from a copied pan? The crisp foundry initial, shift mark, or the pouring mark is indeed odd. That is a clean skillet, I can see the milling marks and evidence of little wear on the heat ring and the Dl marking
