Been trying to get here off and on for much of the day.
I've been a big fan of cast iron since I was about 6 years old and "helped" my mother by scouring her grandmother's cast iron skillet till it gleamed like new. She forgave me ... eventually, but only after a long lecture on the proper care and cleaning of cast iron.
I hope to inherit the thing some day.
Anyway, good to be here. I look forward to learning about the collecting end ... to go with the cooking end I already enjoy.
