Best Mess of Bacon

It happens. A strong urge for bacon. So I heated up my round bottom pot/cauldron and added 50% applewood smoked, 33% sugar cured and 17% hickory smoked bacon. (Sorry Southwest.) Stirred and fried until crisp. Plenty so a few pieces would not be missed while hot.

Then an improved BLT. Mayo on both pieces of toast, then BLTB. Yes!

That sure sounds good!

I periodically make sourdough on a pizza stone; this makes me wonder how it would come out on CI. Any suggestions, or time for an experiment?

If you are preheating your stone and adding a little cornmeal, do it the same way with CI and you probably won’t notice any difference baking a loaf of bread. The walls on a skillet may make it a minute faster to get cooked - 2 minutes for a Dutch oven.
