Griswold Square Low Base Handled Waffle Iron

Got hooked on waffle irons. I’ve only been collecting CI for about 6 months and waffle irons for only the last month or so. I’m afraid I may have peaked early.
Found this beauty in a backroad antique shop in Missouri.
I don’t see too many of these although I do believe someone on this site posted a pic of one.

Fresh out of the E-tank. Very pleased with it.
I can’t find this low base with a handle in the book. I’ve found a couple with the bail handle though.

the handle looks right for griswold... is it marked with a number underneath? (the books don't have everything... and I'm guessing that style of square base is not all common.)

Yeah, it’s a 986 base. I believe it’s all correct, I just can’t find much on it.
