Help with Identifying & Dating a Skillet.

I bought this used over 30 years ago & didn't care until recently who made it
or how old it is. The only marks I can see are #8 on the handle & #4 on the bottom above the handle. Thanks for your knowledge.

Nothing really consistent with any known maker. Some smaller foundries used pans of others as patterns or as the basis of patterns, usually making small modifications to mask that fact. The 4 added on the bottom was most likely a way to track some aspect of production in that scenario.
