Default Griswold #6 Dutch Oven
Had a pretty good weekend finding iron in the wild. Not very good pictures, but all I had time for today. My favorite piece is the Griswold #6 dutch oven. My daughter saw it at a sale near her house Friday and called me. Her description of the lid had me a little confused-she couldn't see any markings on top or on the underside- so I told her to pass at the price they were asking. I stopped Saturday to have a look for myself and found the lid had a 2606 on the underside of the lid, which made it a match for the 2605 on the dutch oven. Page 64 of the Blue Book lists it as circa 1910, with a value of $250-$300.

Two Iron Mountain pieces. That would have been a great weekend for me. I can't find them in Georgia.

I have a Griswold #7 slant logo DO #2603. Unfortunately, it's cracked. The smaller DO's appear to be hard to find.
