Burnt food

So about a week ago I was cooking a pan of sausage and taters, everything was going well until I got distracted and forgot about it. The food was ruined and burnt onto the pan. This was my #9 Wagner, "My go to pan". I thought it had to have warped, or will spin now because it got real hot. The next morning I put some water in it and turned the burner on, got it warm and used a lodge scrapper on the food. I was amazed that all the food came out and I didn't ruin the seasoning. This is the first time I used a lodge scrapper and am very happy I bought them. I had never heard of these scrappers before joining this site so Thank You Doug.
By the way the pan didn't warp, so I got lucky.
