Wagner Ware #10 Dutch Oven

I bought this #10 WW , DO today at a local flea market. After I got home I started trying to I.D. the date of manufacture and got somewhat confused looking thru the BB and RB catalogues.
The bottom of the DO has a stylized logo which dates to 1922 - 1959 according to data in our CIC resources page. Haven't cleaned it yet but I'm sure it has the pattern number of 1270. This P/N is consistent in both the BB and RB.
The lid has incised block lettering as seen in the attached photos. The underside of the lid has a 10 with an underscore under it which is not on any of my WW DO's where as they have a pattern number usually consistent with the DO pot. It does show all the patent dates (DEC; 4-17, MCH; 8-21, MCH; 14-22 & FEB; 10-20). Am I to assume the lid was produced for a number of years according to those patent dates even though the stylized lettering on the pot wasn't suppose to have come about until 1922? Since the pot and lid both show the same age and the patina looks equal on both pieces can it be further assumed these two pieces were probably purchased together and have stayed married for almost 100 years?
The reason I'm asking is that I checked the eBay listings and the only place I found any info was in the "sold" listings. One sold for over $500 plus $80 shipping but had the raised stylized lettering on top the lid which has prompted me to list this one for any comment and or clarification. See the attached link below for photos.
Thanks in advance.

I had kind of assumed that the 'turtle back' lids were 'earlier' than the patented 'drippers'... and that the drippers only appeared on the 'newer' style of lids... (obviously my assumptions were wrong)... I have a #8 'round roaster' with the 'turtle back' style lid... but smooth on the bottom. (also does not have the writing on the top of the lid.)
