Identifying An Old Skillet

I found an old ERIE skillet which I believe is a first series.

I then found another skillet which was in bad shape, but I believed it might be a second series ERIE. After I cleaned it, I realized it wasn't. It's pitted and has a crack on the side. The only thing I see are the letters WR on the handle. Was this skillet made by someone using an old ERIE mold and WR was the maker's mark?

The Erie appears to be a 2nd series. The other, it would not be unreasonable to assume it is a copy using an Erie as, or as the basis for, a pattern. The brushed area at 12 o'clock indicates markings there were covered with a filler. The letters on its handle would more be considered molder's marks, as they are raised, which more often indicates they were added to the sand mold after the pattern was removed but before the mold was reassembled for the pour. Maker's marks, as in the maker of the pattern, are normally incised, like the letter on your Erie.
