Default Sauteed Brussel Sprouts

Pretty simple.

10-15 Brussel Sprouts. 1/4 to 1/8 inch slices.

Heat a few tablespoons of olive (not xtra virgin, toss in extra virgin after) oil in skillet over medium to high heat. Add brussel sprouts and saute turning occasionally until slightly browned and crispy. About 8 to 10 minutes. Add a little oil half way through if the pan dries out. Add salt and pepper to taste and enjoy. I cooked a little longer after the picture was taken. And cooked in my newly restored 3 notch lodge #8

Looks good. I did pretty much the same thing last week. Put some color on them first, but then halfway through added a half cup of chicken stock and covered to finish. A little lower fat that way.

A decent amount of olive oil is very good in your diet; it's one of the good oils if you don't go hog wild and deep fat fry everything.

I usually sautee them in bacon fat. I also usually add the chicken stock, then reduce it and add a little butter to make the sauce creamy.
