Agitating Lye bath

When you guys set up a proper lye bath, as per the instructions on this site (HERE), do you agitate the mixture initially, and again each time you need to reuse it ... or do you just let the lye settle at the bottom of the tank/container ?

After the initial set up, adding the lye to the water (never the reverse) and stirring a bit to dissolve it, the lye should be in solution. It does not precipitate out.
