Default 24 Hour Electrolysis

We found this griddle buried away in the storage cubby of the old trailer as we packed it up for sale. It was scaly. It was rusty. It was GROSS.

I set up a electrolysis tank (5 gallon bucket), and ran it at 20A for one day. After twelve hours I scrubbed it with an SOS Pad and placed it in for another 12 hours.

Here it is after cleaning and drying (no seasoning)

I have a #10 Lodge that looked like that when I found it. Looked almost new after electro. A good lesson to never write off the ones that look like lost causes.

Alchemy!

That second pic looks like a really gnarly sour beer fermentation.
