Wapak Indian Head with Incised Number?

I am not a Wapak expert, and I see very few of them where I live. All the others I have seen have a raised number in a recessed spot in the handle. I don't think I have seen a picture of one with an incised number before. The handle seems right, but that number bothers me. Fake?

There are two styles of Indian Head 8s, the one you describe and this one. The undersides of the handles are also different.
