A Good User Pan?

Recently ran across a skillet marked Hanks, Rome ,Ga.. I was not able to inspect it personally so was wondering if any one had used one to cook with. I like the novelty of the brand but all my cast iron is used daily ,not wall art. It was a little pricey but appeared in good serviceable condition.any input would be helpful

I had a #8 Hanks a few years ago. I assumed it was produced by Hanks Stove and Range in Rome GA. I don't think they are very common and it was a well made skillet on par with any of the major producers. I gave it to a friend from GA so I cannot comment on value.

I saw one in an antique store. It appeared to be well made. I would have purchased it if I would have known about the company prior. It actually looked like it said IANKS on the back along with Rome, GA.
