Lye Bath Question

I am planning to do my first lye bath. I've ordered 2 pounds of lye and I am planning to use an old parts washer that will allow me to do several CI pieces at once. Should I have any concerns with the water to lye ratio?

From the CIC article:

One pound of lye crystals per five gallons of water is the formula. Always add the lye to the water, never the reverse-- it will create a thermal reaction which can cause it to boil up and splash on you. Even when mixing and using lye properly, always use skin and eye protection, and protect clothing or wear clothes that it won't matter if some might drip on them.

Thank you both for the information. The size of my vessel should work well with the amount I have ordered. Was hoping to initiate the process this weekend but that may not happen until early next week.
