Default Griswold/Puritan Waffle Iron, Made This Way?

I bought this at an estate sale a few months ago. It came with a short base. My questions is, was this made like this, or is this parts of two different waffle irons? It came with a short base. Thanks.

The frequency of this type of pairing being seen, coupled with an example in the BB, tends to indicate this version and at least one other Puritan version (p/ns 885/886) were sold this way. P/ns 334/335 were Rev-O-Noc pans, and there doesn't seem to be mention of a Puritan p/n 332 pan anywhere. There is a Griswold p/n 332 W.M.C. Co. pan, however.
