Default Seasoned griddle/skillet - identity unknown.

Just finished cleaning and seasoning a CI piece that a friend of my wife's family gave to us. She used it to make crepes. I used it once for that also, and will do so again!

As you can see from the pictures, it has a gate mark on the bottom and what I think is an "8" (pretty sure it is not a "B", but...) on the handle, other than that no markings.

Any idea of who may have manufactured this piece or its age?

One of many similar styled pans/handles that will probably remain unknown as to who made them. I've seen quite a few but never a name.
