Any ideas! #10 kettle. Thanks!

Hello. I came across a kettle,cauldron that I'd like to know a little about. On the bottom between the grate marks and very heavily raised is 10 on one end and G on the other. I was told it was well over 100 years old. Any insight, knowledge or opinions are greatly appreciated. Have a good day and God bless America.

It does sound like it would be that old, and, being that old and with no definitive markings as to maker, it's hard to say much more. Any photos?
