Vintage Hotplate

Found this hotplate a few months back at the local flea market. Hard to find a lot about it but came up with a few leads. It's a "SKELGAS HOTPLATE" especially built for Skelgas. Skelly Oil Co., Eldorado, Kansas.
I found one in the sold listings on eBay which came with a carrying case for the stove and a natural gas bottle. Apparently it was a salesman's sample. Circ. was somewhere around the late 40's to 50's.
Skelly Oil was founded in 1919 and purchased by Getty Oil in 1974. Texaco purchased Getty in 1977 and the Skelly Oil brand name was dropped. It was revived by Nimmons-Joliet Co. in 2012
Did find one other listing on Worthpoint but no listed value.

Thanks SteveB & JMoss. It has a nameplate that's quiet hard to read but it says on it "Especially Built for Skelgas". Couldn't ever find anything linking it to which company actually made it. All the parts are numbered with raised numbers and the legs also. It was actually pretty rusted looking but I let it soak in Vinegar and water for a few days and it cleaned up quiet nicely.
