CHF Hammered Skillet & Lid

can anyone shed any light on CHF's number system?
does everything have an '8' on it? and then what is the '7' for?
is it a size 7 or 8?

also... nice set... (mine is also an '8 7 X'... not sure why I didn't take a pic of the bottom... probably distracted by the pretty deep hammered finish...
oh, here it is... I had the skillet before I found the lid... https://imgur.com/gallery/8HXuGQw

now you need the dutch oven to go with it...

Must be a 7 deep, and the taper ends up with the top diameter same as an 8 regular. My guess. Or we're assuming the lid fits the pan shown.

I do like that. If I stumble across a number 8 chicken fryer I most definitely would have to keep it. I really like the deep hammered CHF cast. But at this time I only look for what I would cook with, and favor Griswold. Who knows you guys may make me a collector yet.

I have two lids.. both marked the same '8 8 C a'
and I have the dutch oven bottom marked '8 8'...and the skillet (normal depth, marked '8 7 X'

the one pic is the '8 7 X' pan sitting on top of the '8 8' dutch oven... they are the same size... and then the first pic is of the two lids sitting on each bottom...
that's why it was so confusing... the 7 doesn't seem to be a size 7.
