Age of Wagner

I have a Wagner 5 star iron pan with the matching skillet lid.

A 1403 B

I have been using the skillet almost every day since I got it 41 years ago. I was wondering how old it might be?

Here is the story of how I got it. Way back in the 70s I saw an iron pan at a garage sale. The woman selling it was asking 1 dollar. I offered her 50 cents and we had a deal. I was ready to walk away with it when she said here, this lid goes with it. I mostly use the lid for pancakes. Have been using it for 41 years now and it has never been washed. It now has a crusty layer of carbon on it which holds oil and nothing sticks to it ever. I love the thing.

Late 1930s at the earliest I would say. The line had been significantly pared down by the mid-1950s, so likely no later than the early 50s.
