probably not a salesman's sample... probably a toy or promotional piece. griswold made whole sets of small toys... skillet, flat bottom kettle, three legged kettle...
and... wow... those are some really neat pieces...(that seem to be hidden away in a basement)... they need to create a display wall and hang more of them up (or maybe there are so many they wouldn't fit on the walls.)
Definitely produced as a toy. Quite a collection there, especially the Erie spider tea kettles and the Griswold oval skillet. In this context, living in PA has its definite advantages.
Good ole PA! I would love to see that in person. I live in PA, and its kinda hard to find CI where I live. Living so close to Erie, you would think Id run into more of them.
