Griswold handle designs

I bought this slant logo griddle the other day and have been wondering about the shape of the handle. I read an older post by Steve Stephens about the four different handles designs. It seems like he was talking about the shape of the hole in the handle when he talks about the point. I have seen Erie griddles with this handle but not Griswold. Am I misunderstanding about this handle?

The four handles talked about were in reference to those on small block logo skillets. There are three that collectors generally recognjze, and an odd fourth only seen on one pattern. It's not applicable to other Griswold pieces.

Doug, is this a common handle for a Griswold griddle. Was it just a rollover from the old Erie griddle?
