Hello everyone! I'm a cast iron enthusiast...been using camp ovens, skillets, and the like since the late 1900's. Recently I've been researching the benefits of ground and polished cast iron ware to enhance my cooking experience.

I'm not a collector of collectable cast iron but I struggle with accumulating cast iron stuff. I have raised my children with a love and respect for cast iron ware and have taught them proper use and care of such items.

My family enjoys camping in our travel trailer and meals cooked outdoors ranging from DO dishes to my favorite pie irons.

Recently I purchased a late model Wagner 8" skillet with the typical sand cast surface and I figured "What the heck, why not grind and polish this one and see what happens?" The results were very good. Looking to learn the finer points of seasoning, etc. as I interact with the group.
