Default Griswold Sun Dial

I might have posted this before... (when I first got it), but I finally finished it up and 'seasoned' it. Still haven't decided what I'm going to do with it... as far as painting all or some of it... when I got it it was covered with many layers of paint... silver was the top layer or actually the top couple of layers... but it had some gold at one point... just on the top edge of the 'pointer' or gnomon (yeah I looked that up)... and on the numbers...when I was stripping it that gold looked kind of nice... or for now at least I'll leave it 'seasoned' and rust free and work on a little wooden 'frame' for it to be displayed in the house.

Your sun dial turned out awesome. I acquired one a while back but yours is in a little better shape than mine. It's in a box some where. I was gonna Put it in a shadow box or something till i find me a nice castiron stand for it.
