Help Identifying a Soup Pot

Hello All,

I recently came into possession of this beauty, which supposedly belonged to my great great grandmother. The dimpled underside of the lid seems to indicate that it's a Birmingham Stove & Range Co. but I was under the impression that it might be older than 1902 (?) when that company was founded. This pot also does not have the heat ring that most BS&R's seem to have.

Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Looks like you have a pot and lid from two different BSR eras. Their "flat bottom stove pot" was still being produced into the mid-1950s, as the neatness of the markings on the pot bottom suggest it is from that time period or later. Catalogs also indicate the shape was still being made into the 1960s, but if so, no later than about 1966 with this type of marking. The lid is certainly pre-1950, but exactly how old hard to say.
