Lodge Skillet Has Two Areas That Need Attention!

Hi there. New to the forum. I have a lodge skillet for my stovetop and it has two areas on it that need attention. I have seasoned it several times but these two spots won't "take". I seasoned with crisco and did 4 cycles in the oven. I have attached photos.

Was it stripped of any previous seasoning before you seasoned it? If not, it may be something in those areas that needs to be removed first.

My guess is that it got some silicone based nonstick oil on it. You may have to strip it with oven cleaner and start over to get rid of the spots. With that being said, Aas long as you don't have food sticking in those places I would say just use it and see if time and use solves the problem
