Who Doesn't Like Apple Fritters ?

So, i attempted the apple fritter recipe from the Lodge website (see below). They turned out delicious.

what I learned...
-first batch oil wasn't hot enough...forgot a test run...and, temp check...
-Lodge did not include the two hour wait for dough to rise time in their prep....
-4 hands are needed when the assembly line gets cranking...
-chopsticks work best for turning the fritter in the hot oil...
-don't put too many fritters in at the same time...need work/cooking/turning/floating space
-combine the fritter "cubes" together tightly as some of the apple tries to escape...
-can't multi task while cooking in the oil... easy to burn....
-the Gala apples are great for this... not too sweet, not too tart...just perfect...

Give it a try... delicious.
