Less than a year ago I joined a reenacting unit and started to collect gear for that hobby. I picked up an unmarked spider skillet and three footed pot and found that hunting for cast iron at auctions is a lot of fun... and I'm starting to fill my kitchen with newer iron. What I've been buying may not date back to the period I'm portraying, but it's looking at least as good if not better than most of what I'm seeing in camp, so I'm no longer getting laughs... now I'm getting questions.
