Hi, my name is Gary. Always have been interested in cast iron pans. I have a set of modern cast iron, 12",10" and 8". They are ok. I wire wheeled the inside of these before seasoning to smooth them out. I bought some older skillets this weekend an old Lodge #3 and an unmarked 8" pan. I'll post some pics later. Glad to be here!
 
Hello Gary. You should not have to use electric tools for cast iron, definitely not vintage pieces. It removes the collectable value of the pieces.

I look forward to seeing pictures.
