Our family has used cast iron cookware for a long time. I think some of my collectable Wagner Ware and Griswold was bought new in the late 1940s and 1950s by my parents. When I noticed the rough finish of the newer pans compared to my parents' stuff, I started looking around the internet and found a wealth of information here. I pretty much have what I need for everyday use but always look for something interesting in a thrift or antique shop. I rigged up an electrolysis system to clean my finds. Now that I seem to know what to do, I am working on cleaning up the stuff I got from my parents.
