I have read a few places not to let your cast iron touch the sacrificial metal in your e-tank. What happens if it does?

If your skillet has one clamp of the battery charger,and the anode has the other clamp,if they touch each other,you're making a short circuit,and ruins the charger

And even worse, it won't clean the iron.
