2 Pots and a Lid

Any information on these 3 items would be appreciated! A general question: Do all cast iron pieces have made in USA on them post 1965ish? Meaning do newer lids have Made in USA

1. Lodge lid #8, 10 1/4 in. Any idea of date? If newer lids have Made in USA, I'm assuming this is pre-1965. Do you notice any other details that could key in date?

2. #8 Dutch Oven. I'm at a loss for this one. I was thinking BSR because the 8 looks freehanded, but it only has one "pour spout". A raised number 4 is on the spout, I assume to indicate the person that made it. Any idea on brand or age? I removed the handle to clean.

3. Cauldron, bean pot, kettle? How would you describe this piece? I removed the handle to clean it. It is #8 and has an RN over the 8, though the N looks like an upside down U. I initially assumed it was Lodge becuase the Lodge lid was on top of it when i got it. Any idea of brand or age?

Thanks for the help! I'm slowly learning and have found great resources on this website.

That bean pot could be a recast from another foundry. The handles are what makes me think that. And yeah, after 1965 itll say Made In The USA.....most good CI is, just a lot older.

I don't remember Lodge lids ever having Made In USA inscribed in them. No molder's mark would place it 1950s or after.

The DO is a Lodge, missing its bail handle. That's an assist handle not a spout. A BSR DO would have a spout, though.

Hey Doug, by molder’s mark, are you referring to the brand mark or the mark identifying who made it? Is the 4 on the assist handle of the DO identifying the pattern or who poured it? Thanks!
