Does Anyone Know What This Is?

Broiler would be the more applicable term. The design doesn't look very efficient, though. Seems more would drip in the fire than flow down the channels to the collecting trough.
 
While interesting for what it is, it's not something I personally would spend money on.
 
I passed. I ended up buying an unmarked high base lodge waffle iron. The one where the handles are part of the casted piece. Not a complete wash. Thanks Doug. Thanks for your help.
