Anyone seen this skillet before

Was at my mother in laws home. I cleaned it up and wonder who manufactured it. Anyone know?

Someone more knowledgeable than I will chime in shortly, but I have a feeling this is going to be one of those gate marked, pre-1900 very-nice-but-who-knows-for-sure situations with respect to identifying the manufacturer.

I looked at it online but I like looking at the book before buying. I will check the local bookstores to see if they have it.

I have the grey book, to me it is more of a history book on CIC than an identification guide. It does show how different features changed through the years like handle shapes and such. I was able to narrow down a time frame on a few of my pieces with this book but not much in the way of specific manufacturers or prices. Bottom line is if you like CIC for the history of it you will enjoy the read.
