Default Mid 1800's Buck and Wright

Check this -- it's amazing, at least I think it is.

Hey all, I'm new to all this, is this the kind of thing one should season? It doesn't seem to want to rust like a Sydney-o does. Seems like all my stuff pre 1910ish doesn't want to rust as quickly as my 1940's lodges and wagners.

Also, you guys think this is worth selling? It's about 150 years old I guess. Do pieces like this go up in value? Seems like most gate mark stuff isn't worth that much on the market, people want their logos.
