Help identifying period of pot & ladle please?

Can anyone tell me anything about the pot and ladle pictured in the following link to a page of my website. I am particularly interested in knowing what period it may be from. The pot's diameter at rim measures approximately 8 inches and is 4 1/2 inches in depth. The bottom center of the pot has a recessed mark of what I believe to be "L-0308-A" with a raised numeral "8" at its bottom edge The ladle is 19 inches in overall length is 4 inches across from pour lip to pour lip of the cup. http://www.virginiarelics.com/pc5100.htm Thanks for any assistance you can give.

The style of the markings on the bottom, the unclosed bail handle ends, together with the lack of a bottom gate, would make me think it's not all that old, and perhaps an import. I don't think the ladle and the pot are a match.
