ERIE #9 second series

I understand that there may be no right or wrong answer to this, but I would appreciate any thoughts or comments on this. My first ERIE find, $20 and it came with a Favorite skillet lid. When cleaned, discovered crack and a previous owners repair. Not beautiful, but is it serviceable?

I might use it for cooking bacon on the stove top, or grilled cheese sandwiches, or for anything that doesn't require lifting the hot pan by the handle, or require the pan being filled with hot liquid.

Seems like a popular breaking point..

I'm of the same mind as RLMuse, if you really wanted to use it, only use it for things that don't require lifting it, or anything that will spill out if it decides to self destruct.
