A couple new ones...

I picked these up at Goodwill a few days ago.

This one looks like a BSR 50's Century series #3



And this one... I'm not sure about this one. It might be some sort of counterfeit or fake? It looks like a Wagner unmarked...except it is missing the size number on top of the handle and the inch is spelled wrong. It looks like it reads "INGH". Any ideas?

Correct on the first one.

The second, your clue to an import will always be the poor casting, the rough (and incorrectly spelled) lettering, and that narrow handle hole that has virtually no taper. These you should try to be able to recognize to save yourself the effort of bending over to pick them up at a flea market, only to put them right back down again. And, yes, it is trying to mimic an unmarked Wagner, but badly.

These are the ones you clean up anyway. Tuck them away, then when someone shows interest in cooking with cast iron, give it to them so they can try it out.
